Intel Unison is only available for Intel Evo platform laptops with 12th Gen Intel Core i5 and i7 CPUs. Intel vPro enterprise management and Intel Hardware Shield security features are required. Unison’s tight OS interfaces are made possible by the inclusion of certain Intel hardware and firmware features.
The software is pre-installed on new laptops developed and approved for Intel Unison. Throughout 2023, PC manufacturers such as HP, Lenovo, Acer, and others will release a spate of these Unison-ready laptop models in various form configurations. Given the vPro and hardware security requirements, most models will be aimed at corporate and power user groups.
HP Elite Folio and Lenovo Yoga 9i Gen 8 laptops are among the first to come with Intel Unison integrated. In late 2023 and beyond, more mainstream consumer versions are projected to follow. When buying your new laptop, look for “Intel Unison” branding.
Intel is also aiming to enhance the Android app support for Unison. The first release focuses on productivity, collaboration, and creativity programs that work well across Windows platforms. Future Unison upgrades will provide more immersive Android smartphone experiences, like gaming and photo enhancement.
